As Autumn is beginning to show its face here in Ohio, we’ve been reflecting on some of the things we’ve learned during the past year or so. We could publish a pretty long list, but our upcoming expansion into a newer, bigger, and better facility left one major piece of wisdom on the table:
If you ever ask yourself “when is the best time to build a new building and expand”, we suggest that when you start working out of over a dozen storage containers, then you know it’s a perfect time to expand... a year before that.
It’s been a long time coming, but the reality of our new facility is really starting to sink in. Construction has been moving smoothly, and as we move into the fall season of 2021, we’re hoping that things will continue as smoothly as they have been, putting us on a projected schedule to move into our new home in the first quarter of 2022. We couldn’t be more excited at the prospect of working in a facility that can both meet our current needs and can grow with us. For those of our clients that have visited us recently can testify, we have more than outgrown our current facility.
This expansion is a testament to the success of our own hardworking staff as well as our dedicated customers who have supported us over the years.
As trade show season is right on the horizon, we are excited about being able to attend both the NRCC and ICA this year. If you haven’t had a chance to talk with us in person for a while, please stop by our booth! We’ll be there to answer any questions that you might have been saving up.
If you’re not already aware, Petit hosts car wash operators and investors from across the country for informational sessions. And recently, we’ve been even hosting some virtual sessions for attendees across the world. The response from attendees is consistent; that these events are more than worth their time. Here’s why:
1. Education
Besides being a wash manufacturer, we take pride in passing on our years of industry knowledge to new investors and operators and getting them excited about carwash equipment as we are as well as showing them the WHATS and the WHYS behind what we do.
2. Depth of our Company & Machine
As many know, we are in this for the long haul. When you visit us and see some of the intricacies of our machines, you’ll see that there is a deep process of thought, engineering, and real-world experience from an operator that goes into each decision and part. Our machine doesn’t carry it’s reputation of reliability by happenstance. Witnessing this in person helps enlighten one's understanding of the years of development and continued improvement.
3. Spectrum of Business Models
Converting an old tunnel to an “unmanned” IBA? Want to use Monthly Plans? Touchless Tunnel? Automate Prep? Facilities local to us have all of that and more. We have a wide range of different Car Wash models in our area that we can use to help promote creativity and expose many different solutions in our sector.
4. Experience
No one person in this industry has seen it all, but we’re confident that we’ve seen most of it. Our goal is to use our experience to help equip investors and operators with every bit of knowledge and practical advice that we can. This isn’t just a “marketing line” from us; it really does matter to us that you succeed. The more you succeed, the more we all do.
